Pink Route

The pink route starts with the red and yellow routes towards the dam, but stays on jeeptrack 90% of the time. After passing Current and the beach area you will follow the banks of the lake towards the chapel. At the chapel you’ll pass through a small dip right on the edge of the lake.. Around the halfway point the trail turns away from the lake and passes the Hot air balloon field and turns left at the 4x4 track, Not long after passing the foresters house the trail turns on very short singletrack through a Bluegum forest. Now comes the only substantial climb on the trail up to the gate. From here you turn on to the driveway and follow the paved road down to base.

Blue Route

The start of the Blue trail is different to the rest, from the start it turns right and passes the paking area before winding up towards the gate. The bulk of the elevation gain is right at the start before flowing 4km down towards the dam. The route features big banked corners to help keep the speed up. Riders then follow the dam for 2kms before turning up towards the platforms at Rebels Vlei. A last bit of singletrack keeps you on your toes before turning home.

Yellow Route

At the start, the yellow trail turns left and heads down on the game drive road towards the river. Ouhout Revenge is the first bit of technical singletrack riders have to navigate. After passing the beach and Current, riders follow the lake for almost 2km before going in to four flowing singletrack segments. Pigs climb is the first serious climb to test the legs. At the top riders will have a choice to carry on down to the spookhuis section or turn left into the field for a shorter ride home. From the lookout point the trail flows into the valley, through a tight forrest and on to the raised platforms at Rebels Vlei. The slippery Quartz Forrest is next followed by more flowing sections around the forresters house. The last section is a fast run towards the fire pool before turning up onto the paved road towards the shop.

Red Route

At the start, the red trail turns left and heads down on the game drive road towards the river. Ouhout Revenge is the first bit of technical singletrack riders have to navigate before crossing over the bridge. Halfway up the concrete strips you turn right for some singletrack heaven next to the river. Keep your speed to make it up around the hairpin. After leveling out for a short decent is followed by winding climbs up towards Toscana Ridge. Rhythm is key for the next dragging climbs before dropping down fast into the valley. Crossing a small stream opens up to a dragging climb to the top of a rockey ridge. The trail meanders next to the river for a bit before chasing up the heartrate with a steep climb. Enjoy  a magnificent view as you are rolling over the Quartz Ridge. The final climb is made up of switchbacks - best is to attack the corners flat out! The last downhill helps to rest the legs a bit before the final climb leading back to the shop or on to the yellow route.

PLEASE NOTE: Advanced riders only. No one will be
allowed to cut or veer off track. Any persons caught doing this will
be asked to leave the Red route immediately.
